Only thing I can think of is having sold out every home game so
far this season it is a way of getting more fans through the
door when we have all our internationals available and people
can be persuaded to by season tickets for next year.

I agree with this.
If they want to have games at places other than the Stoop take
them out of the season ticket, wherever you sit at the Stoop
will have a better view compared with the equivalent at
Twickenham and it you have a good seat at the Stoop when you are
allocated one at Twickenham it will be worse as the dining deals
and hospitality get the best seats. I know I have experienced it
from both sides.
I understand the aim but if we miss out on a play off place
because of loss of home advantage any additional revenue is
gained pales into insignificance.

Our Big Game win record is 54% with no loss since 2014. If we
lose out on the playoffs it won't be because we played an extra
game over the road, it'll be the stinking results at Bath away
and home against London Irish.

We have a home win record of 63.25% since 1992, if you count
draws (non losses) it becomes 67%. This season will be on small
margins.
I don't want to sit in a rubbish seat either which was the other
point of my post

Add the Big Game draws in and it becomes 77%.
Look, I get it. Personally I'm no fan of Big Game, I haven't
been since 2018. I let friends use my STs now for it. The views
are often rubbish and I'd rather we played at The Stoop.
Unfortunately though, the finances are such that top level rugby
playing to 14.8k every week isn't going to keep us competing for
the play offs year in year out. We need to generate more
interest in the game generally and this is a comparatively easy
way to do it given our proximity to the giant concrete lump
across the road. If we keep selling out, the case for investing
in a new, bigger stadium becomes all the stronger, then we won't
need the Big Games!

Not sure what making more money has to do with us competing for
playoffs when there's a salary cap in place.
But I completely understand the club and owners wanting to cash
in when they can
Not thrilled about it but I understand the reasoning

It allows us to keep spending up to the cap (when it inevitably
creeps back up) and spend on a top end marquee player. Plus
invest in our facilities and academy to keep up with the likes
of Brizzle and Sarries lobbing loadsamoney at the off the pitch
stuff.
Selfishly, it could also buy them something that would fix the
deluge coming from the end of the East stand every time it
rains.

Don’t understand how anyone gets bad views at the Big Game if
you’re a season ticket holder.
We’ve been the last 10 years and never sat anywhere other than
the halfway line.

Does anyone know roughly what quins make for a sell out match at
the Stoop?
With the salary cap at 5 million + the 1 to 2 mill on top when
marquee, coaches and all the other costs are factored in, surely
the clubs will start making some money again?
Also does anyone know how much each club gets a season with the
Tv rights too please?
But I fully support having another game at the Big Stoop if it
secures and keeps this great club on a strong financial footing.

I'd support it by "selling" my seat to someone that likes
Twickenham - I'll watch on Telly - I'd much rather watch at the
Stoop. Having said that, I missed another game at the Stoop this
weekend 'cos I thought I had COVID, but just a bad cold - but I
am kind of glad I felt like a crock of "stuff" and missed that
one.
