Colour Blindness and Sports Shirts

Any thoughts on this issue ?
There’s a useful description on the NHS website (not sure how to
link).
Apparently full colour blindness is quite rare but ‘Colour
vision deficiency’ affects around 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women
and usually inherited.
My first thought of a quick fix for the Ireland v Wales game….
maybe one team switches to black shorts ?

Something simple like that would make sense. A relative of
mine, who is a huge sports fan and a sports journalist, can't
watch some games as he is one of the 1 in 12 men who are colour
blind.
Have a look at this:

It's only certain games, it's predictable and it wouldn't take
much to sort it out.

I've just seen this story on BBC Wales:
HTML https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-60229589
"World Rugby has proposed new laws to help people affected by
Colour Vision Deficiency (CVD), meaning teams may have to change
kit from 2027 in the event of a colour clash." Sounds like a
solution is on the way which is great, but should it take five
years to say to a professional side "Play in a change kit"?

2027 was chosen because World Rugby are legislating for RWC.
Found this in an article.

> The terms of participation have already been agreed upon for
the 2023 World Cup, which is why the ban won’t go into effect
until 2027. World Rugby has encouraged teams to avoid wearing
red and green kits against one another in the meantime, though.

I am one of the 1 in 12 who cannot see certain parts of the
colour spectrum. I am fortunate not to be dichromatic, but
struggle with greens and reds.
There are some good examples of what colour blind people see on
this site:
