He's been in poor form but I don't remember poor passes from him
today and he made 93m and beat 5 defenders, plus did a great job
of cleaning up at the back a few times.
He has no kicking game though, and missed a bunch of tackles.
I mentioned the work in the air as it was awful last week. Very
tough conditions today and he did very well there.

Most of his meters are being made as he collects very deep, you
could say poor offensive kicks! And runs 15-20 meters before the
first defender appears.
When I say poor passes he has overthrown at least 3 in recent
weeks straight into touch when if made we ‘probably’ would have
scored and today a couple of poor passes to feet when a better
pass could have seen a line break, but as you say not in his
best form right now...

Are you actually aware of how windy it is today? It still
gusting at 40knots...

Sale didn’t have too much trouble. Although maybe they did in
the second half - I turned it off

We lacked any leaders on the field, totally absent.
Allan isn’t a poor player but directs nothing at all, the 10
channel was basically a vacancy throughout.
We had zero leadership up front.
Really really worrying.
Hey ho.
The one upside is the crowd full of Johnny come latelys had a
taste of what it’s really like watching Quins - assume those
leaving early were there for the champagne rugby.
This was almost comforting in being so very Asti Spumante.

Ok the result was horrendous but as has been said that Sale team
will beat much better than we put out today.
We just seem to lack big ball carriers we can’t expect Andre to
do it all. I’m not sure what Tualani does but not impressed so
far. But positives for me were the academy lads who fronted up
well when on.
The team especially Lynagh seem to lack confidence.

The pack couldn’t get the measure of Sale early on and that’s
hardly surprising against half the SA B squad. So many 3rd
choices and lower out there. Players making premiership debuts
against World Cup winners.
On a side note, it was good to see Wilco doing some sprints and
lunges before the game and at half time with one of the medical
staff. It’d be good to get an update on the injuriy status of a
few of the long term absentees.
We dropped the ball a quite insane amount today. Some of it will
be wind but many many unforced errors out us under pressure
regularly and a side with a many good players as that will
always struggle. An off day for DC.
I knew Sale had a lot of Saffas but I didn’t quite realise how
many until their team sheet was read out today.

Hard luck boys.
I really don't like the Sunday 1pm kick off slot! Still, the sun
was out but it was a deceptively blustery day.
The boys looked like they were caught cold and never really got
started. It was hugely frustrating. The number of dropped balls
and poor passes was really a shock. As others have said, I
thought our running, passing and handling would be our point of
difference today.
We desperately need some bodies back. Lamb, Louw and Lewies will
be good for starters.
Green did well and was working hard to punch holes. He cut
through twice towards the end, which was great to see. Edwards
also looked exciting in the time that he had.
Next week: Sarries. On Sunday. At 1pm. A win would be huge! If
Leicester beat Saints then we can definitely hold on to our top
4 spot.
Is the 6 Nations finished yet?!!!!
