HARLEQUINS IS DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT ACADEMY BACK-ROW WILL
TRENHOLM HAS RE-SIGNED WITH THE CLUB ON A LONG-TERM DEAL
The 21-year-old extends an eight-year career with the Club to
date, having linked up with Harlequins aged 13. The bustling
back-row is the 12th player to re-sign with the Club this year.
Recently on international duty with England Sevens, Trenholm has
helped the national side claim a bronze medal at the recent
Malaga Sevens alongside fellow Harlequins Academy man Hayden
Hyde, Trenholm is the fourth Academy player to re-commit to the
Club this season.
A powerful and dynamic back-row well-suited to Harlequins famous
style of play, Trenholm has appeared in five tournaments since
linking up with the Sevens side, playing in Dubai and Spain. He
first represented Harlequins in the side’s pre-season friendly
win over Cardiff Rugby.
Thrilled to recommit, Trenholm said: “I’ve always loved being a
supporter of Quins and it’s an absolute honour to carry on my
journey as a player for my boyhood club.
“We have a great group here with a fantastic connection to our
culture and our way of playing and I’m thrilled to continue
being part of what we are building.”
Lineout and Defence Coach Jerry Flannery said: “It’s great to
have Will re-sign on a long-term deal. He’s a young, dynamic
back-row with heaps of potential. He has the type of game that
marries well with the way we play as Harlequins and understands
our Club values.
“We want to continue to push the boundaries on the pitch and
reinforce the culture that we have established as a team. Having
young guys recommit to their boyhood club is a large part of
that, so we’re delighted Will has chosen to re-sign.”

That is good news. Hopefully, he will start on Sunday and show
what he can do, as Kenningham did.
He is well spoken of and has a real connection with the club.
