Slagging the ref is the most pathetic, weak nonsense usually
spouted by people who wouldn’t know a rugby match if they went
to one.
The creeping disrespect on the field is fuelled by the creeping
rudeness of fans and below Prem level is the reason there’s a
shortage of officials.
Slagging a ref in here is little different to being the type of
person who’d scream at the ref at a kids rugby match.
We got soundly beaten.
Starting a thread about the ref is embarrassing.

Which one was that then?
According to what was heard on reflink, when the TMO suggested
that Foley should take another look at the disallowed try in the
corner, Foley said there was no need to as the player said he
had not grounded the ball. This is what the bloke next to me
told me anyway.

You couldn't describe that as perfectly legitimate anyway as,
due to the darkness and colour of the ground, you couldn't see
the ball actually touching the ground because it was in shadow.
It looked like there was a good chance it was a try but even if
he'd gone to the TMO he would almost certainly have not given an
on-field try decision and the TMO would probably have stuck with
that. Goode and Dallaglio were talking a little bit of cack
about that try in commentary.

Like I said, incompetent or corrupt, take your pick. Having
watched back key timings today the referee and tmo missed many
many things, against both teams.
The standard is not acceptable, what is the point of a tmo
system where infringements aren't called.
Some of the dessions in yesterday game shouldn't be argued away
with sore loser bile, maybe it's not just Foley granted, but the
standard must improve.
Would we have won with a more compitant officials, who knows,
but if the league want to grow they need consistently consistent
refereeing standards.
Anyway, enough said, the game is over and on this board at times
whatever you say some troll gets lippy without taking another
view into account other than their own.

Corrupt!?. - No!
Incompetent!? - No!
Bad day at the office!? - Yes, but everyone has these, we had
enough time to adapt to how his interpretations of the laws, or
not!, we didn't, Bath did.
Congrats Bath, we need to improve in our reaction to dodgy,
incompetent, not up to scratch officiating (or however you want
to describe it!). As a player we used to say, okay, he's not
giving us anything, let's make sure we give them nothing, so he
can't penalise us! Then after he's bored for 10 minutes, he'll
start to blow for us /worked 99%of the time.
We arguably played more /better rugby than Bath, but they had
more nous, deserved the win. End of!
