funny ... when i called the scottish referee "shocking" a couple
of weeks ago i was short down in flames !! but here i read words
like "corrupt" with no challenge !! .. let's look. i further
than our team being shocking from 1-22.. These games happen .
Bath did their homework and found a weak link tonight in Green .
he will know he had a shocker but we are better than that .
Take it on the chin and move on . but let's not call the referee
"corrupt" . we are better than that come on

At which point are we going to stop ref blaming and accept we
simply were not good enough and made the wrong choices a lot of
the time?
We had the opportunity to milk a penalty try and chose to kick
for lineout. That they managed to defend and get out of jail.
That resilience gave them encouragement and more mistakes grew
their confidence add to that some thumping hits and strong
carries by Hughes, the high balls from Spencer that caused us no
end of trouble.
All that lost us the game not just Foley.

We where lousy last night
The conditions didn’t suit our game, and we missed some key
players ( like Bath)
Beaten by the better team on the night , and it looked like they
wanted it more

Who’s fault is it if Foley gives Bath penalties for things that
aren’t proper infringements which they gain points from and
doesn’t give us penalties for text book offences by Bath?

I did think it was comical when Hughes picked up the ball and
the ref said "No!". So Hughes carefully put the ball back down
😃

Happens in all games including the ones we win.
Who’s fault was it that Green couldn’t catch and screwed a
crucial pass?
Who’s fault was it that Allan didn’t think to keep they defence
honest by chipping over the rush and miss two kicks?
Whose fault was it we didn’t convert our.chances?
My point being we had opportunities to win that game that Foley
didn’t influence, so we need to look at ourselves and our
inaccuracies rather than blame a ref, the result of such blame
will change nothing. Only honest reflection and work on the
training paddock will.

For both sides last night I did wonder what the point of the
"use it" call was. There were multiple times when more players
joined the caterpillar after the call.

I can't recall the last time any ref called this.
Foley isn't why we lost. I don't like the way he calls games
either, but bath would have beaten us with a different referee.
No question.
