Tom Foley - absolutely shameful refereeing - genuinely baffling
decisions at the breakdown and went out of his way to make sure
we lost.

He's not great but I've seen a lot worse, and if you lose the
physical battle that badly you're going to find it tough to get
the ref on your side.

Yeah the stand-outs were a perfectly legal jackal by Wallace vs
Hughes picking the ball up in front of Care, and Walker lying
underneath the Bath player with literally no interference on
quick ball which was being beautifully presented vs the ref
encouraging a Bath player lying on the wrong side of the ruck to
lift his body to let the ball come through to Care.
The ref was just a sideshow compared to Quins' incompetence
though. And Bath's for that matter.

He isn’t fit for purpose, and Ian Tempest is exactly the same.
I’ve just had a look through all the games this season. Games
with Foley or Tempest refereeing we’ve conceded a total of 71
penalties, all the other referees combined we’ve conceded 60.
They kill every single game.

Well, Foley was either incompatant or currupt for this match,
saying to that in many cases the Ref is only as good as the TMO
who was also either corrupt or incompetent.
Some of the dessions against both sides was baffling, but Quins
got the worse of is it without doubt.
Bath fans, you've had a tough season, enjoy your win.
RFU, get your house in order, you and CVC want to be taken
seriously, then get your match officials in line, 4 X 5 meter
penalties, final warning, 2 more penalties no cards issued all
against bath, 1 half way penalty not rolling away, one knock on,
yellow card against Quins.
How much did bath pay Foley or his he just incompetent?

Blimey.
Not a fan of Foley, but that's because his refereeing style does
not appeal and feels out of step with his peers. Suggesting
he's 'currupt' or 'incompatant' is going too far.

I like the stat but to understand it better what's the ratio of
foley/tempest:everyone else?

Corruption might be going a bit far. Accusations of incompetence
however are fully justified IMHO.

I glossed over this a bit when I was looking, but it’s 6:7 so it
doesn’t seem quite so bad… but it does then open up the question
of why 2 ref’s have reffed almost 50% of our games when there
are 12+ referees in the prem
