I don't get why so many clubs added something to their original
names at all. What was wrong with Bath, Sale, Leicester, Bristol
etc and just leave nicknames to the fans like the round ball
game does?

It's all those poor deeply offended Wasps fans that I'm
delighted for, as they were so affected by it and begged their
club chairman to write to all the newspapers and media outlets
to say how they wanted to ban the head dresses from their ground
And before anyone says anything, it had nothing to do with them
promoting themselves, it was for all of those poor native
americans with whom they have long and strong bonds.
I'm sure they all slept more comfortable last night!!!!

Aren’t we named “Harlequins” because it was the first
interesting sounding word in the dictionary after Hampstead?

Shirts had H on them so went through dictionary…… I think.

I think it was the HFC monogram that they were keen to keep
rather than the shirts (which of course changed once Harlequin
has been selected), but Harlequin was the first word in the
dictionary that the committee unanimously liked.

Simples - we played like a bunch of clowns during the 2019
season.

He used to pop up and eat, drink, make merriment and be jovial.
He would love and in the morning be gone, just like the boys
going down to Bath tonight, so seems a very appropriate name for
us.
And I'm sure I see him at every game carrying some flags and
also at the dump in Ewell West!
