Exactly this. Olly Robinson is the only back row player who has
moved in similar circumstances (on load to Tigers from Cardiff).
However, I’d argue he’s no better than Wallace.
Re. Evans, firstly, he hasn’t been ‘out for an eternity’. So far
it’s 9 months which is pretty average for that kind of injury.
Secondly, he also said he was expecting to be back ‘soon’ in his
re-signing video. While I accept ‘soon’ could still be a while
in real terms, ‘Clifford vibes’ is a very negative view to take.

Also, Clifford had a shoulder problem from very early in his
career. A spiral fracture is nasty, but bones heal, while a
shoulder once damaged will always be susceptible to being
damaged again.
Evans has an injury where the most important thing is to ensure
that it heals properly, but once it's fully healed there's no
reason why he can't get back to full strength. But it takes a
long time for leg bones to be strong enough to take a full load,
especially when it's not a simple break.

I heard last week Will Evans tweaked a hamstring and is about
three weeks away from fitness now. CSW also said he is hoping to
be on the pitch soon.

Good intel.
The way I see it, if we can get through the next couple of
weeks, we’ll hopefully have a raft of very good players coming
back while other teams are still depleted.
This 6 Nations period is always critical. Last season we were
able to benefit from very few call-ups, but OTH, we had a lot
more ground to make-up. It’s always hard to predict but our
fixture list is fairly kind. If we can still pick up a few
results when we’re under-strength, I think we’ll be in a really
good position for the reinforcements to arrive.
Also, as much as Taulani probably wouldn’t have started if
Lawday or Chis was around, this is a good opportunity to see
what he can bring. The early indications are that he could be
good, so I’m looking forward to seeing him get a couple of
starts.

As said above, we're quite lucky with our fixture list, and
hopefully get internationals and some injured players back for
the run in
