We stayed out by the ground and it was full of Sarries
supporters for their final the next day😔

Castre seem to have put a good team out - not very sporting of
them!
Does it matter if we lose?

It might be the only team they can put out looking at the number
of COVID cases in France right now…

Could be reading too much into the selection but think Marchant
and Smith will start for England and Marler and Dommers on
bench….Northmore expected to be released from squad earlier,
this rested by us as expected to play lots over coming weeks???
Control player minutes with so much rugby potentially left this
season and rest periods thrown in etc…

Possibly. We also know the club uses the chips in the gum
shields for managing players’ minutes too.

I doubt Eddie even knows who he's going to pick for that first
game yet... But in all seriousness, I'd be surprised if he's
told any of the Prem coaches who he will be starting/benching.
Also, with Underhill out of the squad, Dommers is more likely to
start at 8 with Curry moving back to 7 where he should always
have been.
I read tonight's selection more in terms of giving Allan and
Jones some rugby to get them up to speed for the next couple of
months - as they will both go from being bench players to
inevitable starters due to 6N absentees. Marler starts because
why rely on SGB unless absolutely necessary? Dommers starts
because all our other options at 8 are on the "unavailable" list
+ we need a captain.

Yeah we stayed around the stadium at Lyon as well for a while
and trams back we're easier later on. When we got back near the
town centre, both the Sarries season ticket holders were making
lots of noise in the bars and giving us a hard time, we had to
take it on the chin.
Sods law he'll have a stormer tonight!

I'm surprised that many Sarries fans made it to Lyon...
