I think most people here are understating how good a team
Castres wer last night, overall. Big, fast, physical. They would
have beaten a lot of teams by a hefty margin.

Castres might not be a famous club, but they’re a very good side
and currently 3rd in the Top 14 behind Bordeaux and Toulouse.
Irrespective of the circumstances, home and away wins against
them is a very good return for us.
My concern is that we still look a mess half way through the
season. The results are hard to argue with , but performances
leave a lot to be desired. Of course, I’d take playing poorly
and winning over playing brilliantly and losing, but I feel like
we’re burning up all of our good luck reserves right now …

How many of the combinations in that team had taken the field
together before? The front row had played a few minutes
together. The back row was a new combo, the half backs were a
new combo, the centres had had a few minutes together and the
back three had a new fullback. The locks had played together a
       bit.
It was kind of to be expected that we'd be disjointed, and the
coaches possibly underestimated how much fire Castres would
bring. But the squad pulled together and found a way to win. I
joked in the stands that they were just creating the right
conditions for Marcus to do his thing...

Steele: wasn’t a shocker, but not good either, but after 2
months out in a team with 9 changes?
As mentioned elsewhere, Botta has had a much better season…
I thought Wallace got pretty involved - not seen the stats but
he seemed to be making many tackles and was taking quite a few
balls into the line and gaining a few yards. Not sure he
affected many turnovers, but he appeared industrious…

Were some of you watching a different game? How could we have
been so bad and beaten an up for it Castres 1st team. No we
weren’t at our best but with many new players starting I thought
we were quite good for periods during the game. I think some
people forget that the opposition are trying to win as well and
doing their best to disrupt everything for us. We scored 5 tries
won the game and got 5 points. If I didn’t know better i could
believe that we do this last minute thing on purpose to make the
game so exciting for the TV and casual watchers.

Why, oh why do people come on here and moan ?
Another great win, another packed Stoop.
Squad players did fantastically against very strong opposition.
We are watching some of the best players in Europe in our team,
every week, and the strength of the squad is better than it's
       ever been.
As I keep saying to anyone who moans about small mistakes etc -
it is an absolute pleasure being a Quins fan at the moment -
enjoy it people ... enjoy it.

Some of the criticism of Wallace on here is wide of the mark. As
has been said he was very industrious and carried/tackled with
       purpose.
I think he is ready for some action now in the Prem and probably
will be a potential starter if Lawday is out.
Was unlucky with a few turnovers too.
But yes wasn’t the greatest quins team performance you are going
to see not the worst either!

From reading comments on the game, there appears to be a very
different view of the game from people who watched it on TV
compared to the people who were in the ground, especially those
       in the South stand

It wasn't a Castres first team.
And frankly, a big part of the reason we won was Botica's
appalling goalkicking, him dropping the ball over the line, and
Adamson giving us several very dubious decisions or non
decisions. I don't think we can just point to the final result
as the ultimate barometer of how well we played.
