HARLEQUINS IS DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WING CADAN MURLEY IS
THE LATEST PLAYER TO SIGN A LONG-TERM CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH
THE CLUB
The eighth player to recommit to Quins this month, Harlequins
Academy product Murley has put pen to paper with the reigning
Gallagher Premiership champions.
Joining the Club’s full-time training programme ahead of the
2017/18 campaign, Murley made a fast start to his senior career
with Harlequins, making his debut later that season against
Scarlets in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
Now a regular starter with a Gallagher Premiership title, over
60 appearances and 17 tries to his name, Murley extends a
six-year relationship with the Club having joined the Academy
set-up at 16.
Commenting on his new deal, Murley said: “It’s great to be able
to re-sign here with Quins. This is a team looking to build
something special and I want to continue my role in what we’re
doing.
“This group has a great culture and plays some of the best rugby
in the game at the moment. It’s fantastic to be able to be a
part of a team that plays the way Harlequins do.
“To be able to play that kind of rugby alongside mates and great
backroom staff is rare. I’m thrilled to recommit and I can’t
wait to get back into it this weekend.”
Skills and Kicking Coach Charlie Mulchrone said: “It’s great to
see Cadan recommit to the Club. He has been a consistently
outstanding performer for the Club for the last few years and
has a fantastic all-round game.
“He’s one of that batch of Harlequins Academy products that have
shot up through the ranks over the last three years or so. We’re
seeing the next group of youngsters looking to emulate what guys
like Cadan, Marcus Smith and Joe Marchant have done as they’ve
grown into the senior side. It’s great to have guys like him in
the starting XV each week.
“We’re thrilled to have Cadan re-sign and look forward to seeing
him continue his development as a senior player.”

Great news. I’d say he’s probably one of our unsung heroes of
the season so far (along with Dino and Collier). Think he still
has huge potential to fulfil so it’ll be intriguing to watch how
he progresses over the next few years

Really excellent news. Cadan just gets better and better. He
puts himself about the pitch in defence and offers ever more in
attack. He is a really special guy. I think he is probably a
good personality for bringing the squad together, too.
I wonder, will this run of renewals culminate in Danny's
renewal? I hope so!
