Well, money is the only reason I ever went to work.

Believe it or not, kids who’ve grown up together like to wind
each other up and fans don’t pick the England squad. Crazy, I
know.

Saracens can. They need an additional lock more than we do.

an international lock? When did Sarries? (From memory, it was
Ollie Kohn’s single cap for us, and take your pick from
Sarries).

There’s no denying we haven’t, but that doesn’t mean we can’t.
The raw material coming into the academy isn’t completely in our
(or any clubs) control. Arguably we were a bit unlucky with
Launchbury being - by his own admission - not fully invested in
his time at Quins.
He might be better off at Saracens, but it’s a risk. Different
position, but Jack Singleton’s move (back in his case) from
Worcester was hardly a resounding success. I still think we can
and might still produce and international lock with Lamb or
Hammond.

I wonder if any consideration was given to the potential of the
two locks who are generally first choice at U18 level currently
(Green and Browne) when it came to managing the cap and planning
salaries for next season.

Red and Blue in the under 16s are apparently high potential too.

Tiz is still 4th choice at mo, also have to remember for these
academy boys they actually play very little rugby and this is
what they want to do. Training is all well and good but seating
in the stands must be boring for them! Maybe Sarries could
promise him more…I really hope it goes well for him. Think he
will be a great signing for them. Think we will see this age
type of player moving more regularly…

They play well together. Of course, they could just be going
through a purple patch.

That is really sad. Clearly I was very lucky and enjoyed my job.
However could NEVER have worked for an outfit I was not proud
of.

Well, I appear to have deleted my original post! Daft bugger!
I just wanted to add that, to be fair I don't think you can
compare "normal" jobs with being a professional sportsperson.
