Well at least, assuming he is going there, they allowed us to
announce his departure first which they failed to do for
Johnston.

I’m disappointed he’s leaving, but I accept that this is he
reality of professional sport and we (and he) need to make tough
decisions in the current climate. However, what I’m really
disappointed by is the likely destination.
I see moves like Johnston and Strettle as quite different to
someone like Tizard who has spent all his formative years with
us. It just feels wrong.

I'd say so. Very different games with very different demands on
the body. Add to that he was out injured I can understand why he
has not featured a huge amount yet. I think I am right in saying
he hardly had a pre season with us??

Am I right in thinking Tiz is still an academy player or has he
graduated to full squad? If the former, then perhaps he was only
offered the same deal for next year but other clubs have offered
him full squad status, with everything that goes with that.
I'm pretty sure that if Symons is off, Quins would have made
more effort to keep hold of him, so perhaps rumours of Symons'
retirement are only rumours and that he is committing to more
time with us, giving CSW and Hammond the chance to slot in
slowly...

I think people might be slightly overhyping csw's potential at
the moment. No guarantee he will turn into a kew squad member.
Hopefully, but far from certain.
Can't blame tizard for taking the money in what is a short,
tough and uncertain career. Just a shame about the destination

Yes Senior academy like Kenningham, Lynagh so they get about
£54K from memory it is an official amount like the ordinary
Academy.

I'm honestly not bothered about his departure. Good luck to him
if he's secured a senior contract at twice his current salary on
the back of a handful of starts for us, but I'm struggling to
think of a 2nd Row that's a crucial game-changer at Prem level
(with the exception of established Internationals). He's
certainly not let us down in the absence of Symons or Lewies,
but with the exception of the Big Game, I can't say I've really
noticed him. There are plenty of options for big units that can
catch and push and with a tight salary cap I'd rather the money
has been spent on retaining Northmore or Dombrandt who can be
genuine match winners in their own right

Yeah, let's make it as difficult as possible for us.
