Totally agree. The coaches will be monitoring his technique, his
learning of the plays and his fitness, and he's probably viewed
as a medium term project, because converting from gridiron is
not trivial.
Also, remember how long Green was waiting in the wings before
getting his chance and seizing it. I trust our coaches to know
what they need to do to bring players through.

I remember it being Saili who knocked himself out against Wasps
a couple seasons ago?

Oh yeah you are absolutely correct, disregard all I said.
Sorry Paul.

It's not really a dead rubber game - a BP win would guarantee a
home QF, should we win our last 16 matches (A/H), which is not
to be sniffed at...

Don't think you completely imagined it! Lasike did it against
Sarries if I remember rightly.

CSW was warming up with the guys tonight. Suspect people in here
are right about easing him back in slowly (hasn't played rugby
in three years) with a view to unleashing him over the next few
weeks.
He's an absolute physical monster, and it probably takes some
time to get up to speed to keep pace with the way we play. NFL
requires more explosive ftness and not an 80 minute slow burn.
Trust the staff.
Tiz had a great game last night. Sorry to lose him, but can't
begrudge a young man trying to further his career at all. Just a
shame it's up at Barnet.

CSW came off the bench in the prem cup against Saints - that was
weeks/months ago.

I saw that match - he’s a big unit for sure, but he didn’t
really get much of a game or show much (not that he did anything
bad) but he didn’t get a good rumble that I remember.
I thought at the time that we had a few second row injuries and
that he was filling a hole but I might be mistaken.

Spoke with CSW last night and he said he was getting back to
fitness and hoped to be on the pitch soon. As said earlier,
change back to rugby is not trivial from gridiron and IIRC there
has been a minor op since his return.

I still think he has the potential to be a major asset, so I
don’t mind him being integrated slowly. TBH, the same goes for
any of our newer players.
In short, I trust our coaching team to know when players are
ready to go.
I like the idea of ‘unleashing’ a few new weapons in the second
half of the season.
