Harlequins have confirmed Hugh is off at end of the season. No
confirmation of destination but sadly I guess he will be a fez
wearer soon.

Shouldn’t play him again for the rest of the season. Prioritise
Dino and Hammond’s development.

Good luck to him, but under new SC rules there is going to be a
lot of this (younger good quality players leaving clubs), think
clubs will have to structure contracts so not to many run out in
each position each year.

That's a massive shame as he has so much potential and has been
given loads of opportunities with us, but looks like you can't
keep everyone you want to keep these days :/

HUGH TIZARD TO LEAVE HARLEQUINS

HARLEQUINS CAN TODAY CONFIRM THAT LOCK HUGH TIZARD WILL LEAVE
THE CLUB AT THE END OF THE SEASON
With 27 appearances to date, the 21-year-old leaves Quins
following a seven-year relationship with the Club, having joined
the full-time training programme with the senior team in the
2018/19 season and making his senior debut in the Famous
Quarters in October 2019.
Commenting on his move, Tizard said: “I want to thank everyone
at Quins for all their support and friendship over the years.
I’m proud to have come through the system here and gone all the
way to winning a Premiership title.
“I’m excited for the new challenge to come next season, but I’m
equally as excited to play my part in finishing this campaign
with Quins. We’ve started the season well and I’m looking
forward to seeing how far we can go.”
Senior Coach Tabai Matson said: “While it’s always sad to see a
member of the team move on, we wish Hugh nothing but the
absolute best in his next step at the end of the season.
“Tiz is a valued person and player within our group and we’re
looking forward to working with him throughout the rest of the
season as this squad looks to continue making history, with full
focus on tomorrow’s Cardiff match.”

That is a shame. Has played well and continues to develop and
improve.

Gutting. Already a very good player and loads of room for
development and improvement too. I guess this is something we'll
have to get used to with a lower salary cap.
I hope it works out for him. Hopefully we'll see him turning out
for England in future and maybe back in quarters at some stage.

Harsh, but I agree. I’d prefer to invest in players who will be
here next season.
