It's a shame, I liked BT as a brand and they should be in
omething like tv services including sport but in the last few
years it was clear they were backing out of TV services and
sport.
ADDITION - For something like fibre, it is a prime spot for home
entertainment was was something they wanted to install over 30
years ago but the government of the day would not allow them so
have been playing catch up ever since.
Maybe once 5G and full fibre is rolled out which will take years
and cost lots, they will be in a position to enter it again.

I certainly won’t complain if the rugby ends up on Sky or Prime.

BT are contracted with the Prem to show rugby until the end of
the 2023/24 season, so hopefully that'll provide enough time to
get it all settled in with the new provider. I can't imagine
that BT won't retain some form of grandfathering for existing
customers.

Prime would be fine, but why on earth would you want it on
Sky??? That costs a frigging fortune in comparison to BT!!!

Because I've already got Sky anyway. Rugby moving to BT just
cost me more money.
The competition between multiple providers may be good for the
sport but not for customers who like multiple sports.

Sky's rugby coverage is pretty naff. BT's has regressed in the
last couple of years but it's still better than Sky.
