It would be interesting to see what Smith's percentage is when
the kick really, really matters. He missed a couple against
Leicester in the course of the game, but all the "make this or
we've lost" ones I can remember in the past year or so - at
Bristol, in the Final, against the Boks, against Gloucester and
Exeter, he has made regardless of how difficult they were (and
the last one against Exeter was about as difficult a kick as you
could ask for - out wide, in the wet and dark with the ball
doing some odd things in the air).

Well, I assumed you were saying he was clearly above Farrell. I
think that's unlikely, he wasn't getting a look-in when he was
playing well, and you can't really call a guy who struggled to
get the shirt off Harvey Skinner for half the season as an
international option.
