Out for 6 months!!!
AN INJURY UPDATE ON HARLEQUINS FLANKER JACK KENNINGHAM
Quins can confirm that Kenningham underwent successful surgery
earlier this week following a neck injury sustained during last
weekend’s Gallagher Premiership victory over Exeter Chiefs.
The Club will continue to support Kenningham in his
rehabilitation as he looks to return to the field, currently set
for a six-month rehabilitation period.
Senior Coach Tabai Matson said: “It’s a real shame to see Jack
set for a spell on the sidelines. He’s a fantastic young player
who has a great future in the sport.
“We have a fantastic medical team here at Quins who will ensure
Jack is well looked after. He’s a tough, determined individual
and I know he’ll come back from this set-back and hit the ground
running.”

Potential for us to bring in a medical joker (think there is
still a 400k cap space for this. Replacement has to be of
similar level). With Evans out also, could leave us a bit
short. White and Wallace to step up.

This is a massive, massive blow. The gulf between him and the
ones likely to step in is huge. We need to seriously hope we
bring someone in

Terrible news. At the time his injury was overshadowed by the
red card tackle on Marler. Anyone know how it happened? Exeter
are never penalised for in at the side or off feet at ruck, so I
wonder if that did for him. Guess it doesn't matter really.
Gutted for him - must have been in with a shot of the 6 nations
wider squad, even if not the matchday one.

Terrible news. Critical we have a jonny on the spot at
breakdown. Hope JK gets well soon.

Happens here… if the breakdown was properly reffed in the game,
Gray doesn’t come massively in at the side and crumples the ruck
on kennigham. Definitely no malicious intent but there is no
doubt that Injury is completely avoidable

Terrible news and gutted for him, let’s hope he has an easy
recovery on no complications.
Makes our BR selections very interesting for the rest of this
season.
