someone may have already posted this, but if not, here is
Jones's prediction from back at the start of this season for how
the Premiership table will finish. Only half way there but looks
like his expert inside knowledge was bang on ;) ;) ;)

       2. Bristol
       3. Exeter
       4. Leicester

To be fair he did manage to get the correct thirteen teams which
is more than many thought he would would.

To be fair to Jones, what that really amounts to is that he's
massively overestimated Sale, Bristol, Exeter and Bath's
chances, and underestimated Gloucester. Six out of 13 teams are
actually in the right order at half way, with Wasps and LI in
the right sort of place but the wrong way round.

That's a good way of looking at it. Also I think most people
would have overestimated Bristol and Exeter.

I know I did, and Sale as well. And I think most of us probably
thought that Tigers were a season or so away from being at their
peak (which is scary if it's still the case...).
FWIW, both Bristol and Exeter skipped some of their preseason
because they anticipated a long, attritional season. To gauge
their form, we need to watch their injury lists as well as their
league positions. They could both have a second half resurgence,
though Exeter look better placed than Brizz.
Sale are looking a bit like they had a new manager bounce... but
I think they are also missing Faf quite badly.
Bath seem to be having their version of what we had with
       Gustard, only much, much worse.

Not just Faff but Raffi too... Not had a lot of luck with
injuries but some of their players really don't seem to be
paying as well as they can.

Sorry. Took that as a given. It’s Stephen Jones, after all.
Underestimating Quins is probably a clause he has written into
       his contracts.
