Not my point.
Play Chis at 8 because he can play there - fine. Don't play him
there because he played there at school.

As well as Evans, Pacific Islanders also have names! The one in
question is Viliami Taulani ;)

The above is a youtube tribute to Vincent Tshituka. He looks one
hell of a player. There is some talk that he is a Springbok in
the making. Vermulen is not getting any younger!
Interesting to see and hear Tyrone Green in the video. He no
doubt has given a character reference from Tyrone.

I can see why we are interested in him - he's got a very similar
style to Dombrandt. Would definitely be a good addition to the
squad.

Agreed, he looks a well-rounded back-rower who can play 6 and 8
(For those of us not aware, SA teams tend to play no7 as a
blindside flanker).
He seems to be quick and powerful too. I can imagine a back row
of Tshituka at 6, Evans / Keningham 7 and Dommers at 8.

With Jimmy Chis on the bench to come on and instantaneously make
a try happen, like he does.

I guess we have to keep a lot of irons in the fire but with
salary cap restrictions, I can’t help thinking our problem is
going to be too many back rowers rather than too few.

"Played there at school"? That's laughable, even by your
standards.
He was 20 years old, already having played senior rugby at
Quins, when named Junior World Player of the Year. At number 8.
This point was made in response to this comment from The Kid:
"Dombrandt is the only senior 8 at the club. Lawday and Chisholm
are 6s that can play 8."
But sure, if you think that being rated a better player at 20
years old than Itoje equates to "playing there at school", then
I think you need to consider your perspective. Or maybe just get
some.
For a reference, you might also wonder how someone who just
"played there at school" slotted in at 8, and won MOTM against
Stade Francais, whilst outplaying Sergio Parisse. But I suppose
Sergio just "dropped in for the odd game". For Italy. 140+
times.

Calm down, there's no need to be offensive.

On a positive note, I was much relieved to find from the helpful
video clips that it's possible to pronounce Vincent's surname in
such a way as to avoid saying a naughty word. That had been
worrying me.
