Silence for Marcus’ 2nd conversion yesterday

The Stoop was the quietest that I can remember as we waited for
Marcus to convert the second try.
       Can anyone recall it quieter?

I’ve asked players about the silence for a kick at goal and the
majority don’t seem to like it as it makes them feel extra
pressure as they think that absolutely everybody is focusing on
them. A couple said that they are not bothered because they get
into their own concentration zone. I might add that none of them
were international players and only a couple of prem players. I
think NEv has said before that noise doesn’t bother him as in
New Zealand you get a hum of background noise when kicks are
       taken.
The Irish go absolutely silent but haven’t really noticed
any other nations going that far, there’s normally a background
       mumbling going on.

Just as quiet for the kick that failed that sent us
       down!😒

I don't like dead silence on our own kicks and would much prefer
noise. It would be great if you could hear a pin drop on oppo
kicks. I've never heard of a kicker that likes silence. Plus
anyone who shushes should be banned from the ground for life.

Yeah, agree with all of that.

The only noise was Henry Slade trying to ‘ice the kicker’ by
getting the ref to needlessly check if Andre was in touch and
therefore delay the conversion. Terrible gamesmanship /
sportsmanship as he was pointing at the line having seen a
replay on the big screen but was clearly just playing mind
games. I used to like Exeter’s style of play but they are making
themselves easy to dislike these days.

       Unlike all those 60's films: "it's too quiet - I don't like
it..." and then he gets an arrow in his chest...

What is with all the opinions/survey mumbojumbo?
Can't somebody quantify the kicking outcomes somehow, like
comparing noisy versus quiet kicks? There must be loads of data
from noisy unions...e.g., the French are a bit shouty, and
performance indicators are pretty common these days in rugby
       analysis surely?

Too many variables to isolate noise as a factor.
