Alex Sanderson said after loosing to Bristol last night “you
don’t win games by conceding 32 points, unless you’re
Harlequins".
If so it's both one of the funniest and complimentary things
I've heard about Quins!

Hard to imagine he meant it as a compliment. He dislikes us and
he hates anti-anti-rugby

He first said it after the semi final against Exeter last
season. He was interviewed after losing the game he said that
you can't expect to win games if you concede more than 30 points
.. he then paused and said " unless you are Harlequins of course
" . This was in reference to our earlier win against the Bears,
he was obviously aware of the score and the incredible come back
by Quins.
At the time, I do believe he meant it as a compliment, or at
least that he was impressed by Quins performance at Ashton Gate
.. like everyone else :)
Interesting that he is still referencing it.

I have been wondering for awhile how much longer dear old Alex
has left at Sale. They appear to be going backwards in both
results and style. Alex's negative kick chase the opp to death
rugby won't suit Ford in my opinion who is a class player. Any
bets on if he will be the manager come the start of the 22/23
season?
His defensive structures don't appear to be working against most
teams, at the half way stage Sale are 10th and 14 points off a
playoff place. So not a good start the season for them.
How long before Mr Orange makes some changes?

Fair to say there is a level of speculation among the AJ Bell
faithful as well although opinions are divided.
My own take is that the season is far from over so let’s see
where we are in June. I seem to recall one team had something of
a turnaround last season.
I’m also of the opinion that our underperformance has to be
looked at in context. Much of our game goes through the 9 - far
more than is the norm.
To have lost our starting 9 is perhaps something that can be
planned for but to lose the backup for much of the season so far
is unexpected.
Likewise, we were playing games in the autumn which finished
with our 5th choice 9 and 4th choice 10 on the park.
I fear that last season was our chance to win the league, this
season we are possibly aiming for Top 6 now and next season Alex
will start to build his team and show how he wants to play.
All of his (5) signings so far are EQP and most are local lads
which perhaps marks a shift away from the SA route.
