Good luck to him. Would be a shame to see his talent wasted.
Needs to work on his flaws but Bristol's style should play to
his strengths. I don't think we miss him really, but still a
shame it didn't work out for him here. Wonder how he felt seeing
       us win last season

He's a good buy for them - won't be expensive after his travails
but has a lot of potential, and you'd expect Pat Lam to be able
to get the most out of him. Was he also good mates with Sinck?
I wouldn't swap him for our current roster of wings, though.

I'd say best of luck to Bristol - he chased the cash and wasn't
the player he thought he was.
No idea if it was his fault or people around him but I doubt
he's developed much during some pretty unremarkable years since.
Not a patch on any of our current wings.
If he's stayed and learned to defend (which he was incapable of
doing when with us) he might have been decent, but Murley and
Lynagh have as much natural talent going forward, coupled with
       being excellent defensively already.

I wish Lynagh and Murley were capable of the things he is
       capable of!
Part of me will always want him to succeed, he has *that* much
talent, but it's fair to say his decision making on and off the
field over the last few years have left him down big-time. He's
definitely a player that coaches will be willing to take a
gamble on. I hope he can repay the faith.
Just, you know... not against us.

Check out the last try he scored for Tel Aviv. He really can
dodge people in a phone box. He has a huge amount of talent, but
       also some major flaws.

Completely agree with this. Neither Lynagh or Murley have Gabs’
mix of acceleration and power, in fairness I can’t think of many
English wingers who do. However Lynagh and Murley in particular
are much more complete players at this point in their careers.

You know he'll score a worldie against us, they always do.
He's never got all of it to work at the same time and I'd rather
have consistent wingers defending well and scoring 3 metre
finishes every week than someone who falls off of tackles
against scrum halves and scores one worldie every 4 games.
