The last ten years have already seen deterioration in the
matchday experience - kids no longer allowed on the pitch, bars
restricted access, player access removed, reduced toilet
facilities, poor digital technology and outsourced
ticketing.......
I imagine that any expansion beyond the current plan would
further diminish enjoyment on the day.
Bah humbug ;)

There's plenty of small bands who are itching to get back out on
the road that you could make into a regular Thursday night music
club. In terms of larger artists/bands, a 20k/25k venue with

one of the sort sides so that it can properly house dressing
room/backstage needs. The space can couple up as rentable office
space during the week & hospitality suites for match days.

Yes but this won’t bring in enough revenue if you are going to
have a hotel you need occupancy and in that part of London I
would think that is very difficult. Functions on Friday and
Saturdays won’t cut the mustard to the bottom line. If you lease
to some one like Hilton or Holiday Inn they won’t want under 84
bedrooms or it does not make money even with function rooms. We
desperately need a proper members bar and debentures need a
lounge both where you can take guests. Also expand hospitality.
I am afraid ‘small band venues’ don’t make much money 1 or 2
nights a week.

TO the point we are in competition with Twickenham for
conferences and wedding venues etc. Yes we are and now we are
not.
Twickenham can host big events but are bloody expensive. A new
stadium or a complete overhaul of the Stoop could orient Quins
to hosting mid size events which will not be big enough for
Twickenham but suitable for the Stoop to host at a more
reasonable price.
I do not know who locally could do this in the area so there is
potential, but can imagine it would take years in planning and
securing funding.

I would be happy to provide more revenue by drinking more, but
that eventuality would require me to be able to get to the
flippin bar!

Well Kew Gardens must be a competitor for mid size events.
Although might seem to be a different market not sure it is!

I'm not convinced a hotel will be part of the plans, given the
glut of hotel options at all price bands already in the area.
That's why I think that alternative revenue streams should also
be investigated as part of the development.

As mentioned, a hotel isn't really viable at the stoop.
Just build an all-singing all dancing bar area, which can be
used for conferences/small exhibitions. Being in London and the
things around the stoop, we can't really reinvent the wheel that
much considering the options around us already.

I think when the original plans came out, something like a hotel
was a good option. Now Travelodge and Premier Inn have disrupted
the market I think that option has disappeared.
