André absolutely deserves his chance and I hope, for his sake,
he is called up. Although, if he is just going to hold tackle
pads, and for our sake, I hope they keep ignoring him!
He and his family seem to have settled in so well and he has
become a well loved fulcrum of the team.

What a player Andre is. He can literally do everything, I tip my
hat to the not so popular Gustard for this addition, & to know
he’s recently signed a new contract is music to all Quins fans
ears. 2 man of the match performances on the bounce and he just
gets better. Smithy wasn’t on the ball today and having Andre
help bump holes & to make so many turnovers as a 12 is top
quality.

At the very highest level I can see why he'd struggle to get
ahead of DDA - his handling can really let him down and players
are bigger and better tacklers at that level. In the same token
I can see why Green isn't getting picked yet; his kicking game
is very rudimentary and he gets turned over a fair amount
because he often runs into trouble.
That's not to say that both players aren't huge positives for
Quins or that they'd fail at international level, just that it's
not an easy case of them both being better than the other
options with no real reasons to ignore them. If you were to list
the things that each player does really well for Quins, it'd be
a long post!

There is talk that one the areas where the Books need more depth
is at fullback, and that Le Roux may be near the end of his
international career. Frans Steyn was superb when he stepped in,
but he's no spring chicken, however great a player he is.
Tyrone was definitely marked out as one to watch before coming
to Quins.
I hope he sticks with us for a long time. The guy's a huge
addition to the team.

Perhaps Tyrone's biggest issue/weakness is that he's a bit ropey
under the high ball. Not sure we'll see him in an international
15 shirt while that remains so.

I really don't think Le Roux's all that good but he has an
excellent kicking game and is a kind of creative player that
backline needed.
