If he does get called up, it would be good to get Lasike back as
our other centre options don't really offer the same threat. It
was an issue last season when we tried to play Lang at 12 and
asked him to do heavy carrying, which is just not what he's good
at. When we then switched to playing Tapuai in that role, he was
better suited to it.
I'm not sure Northmore or Jones would offer the same carrying
threat. Anyanwu might as he's a big guy

I think Anyanwu would be worth a run. From the training pics
the club put up, Lasike is back training. Just for the fun of
it, Id like to see him and Andre play together.

There is no doubt in my mind that we are a much better team with
that straight running threat at 12. Jordan used to give us the
same threat, it creates space out wide by holding defences. A
strong runner at 12 is key to the way we are playing and Andre
is very good at this role. He has great hands and space
awareness and hence attracts defenders giving others more space.
There are other who can play this role in the squad but he is
world class at this

Potentially losing him to the international season is one of the
perils of bringing in a very good player, and having him shine
in the role he has been given at Quins, with the support of a
fine group of players around him. I'm sure he could do a job for
the Boks, but I love to see him in the quarters. I suspect there
is no-one in the Prem that relishes tackling him.

No way is he taking the place of De Allende at 12. De Allende is
the rock that the Springboks backs are built around. If he got
injured then maybe.
