Cadan Murley

Can we all please take a minute to appreciate how good Cadan
Murley is.
His all round game is just superb and he gets so little
appreciation in the main stream. He went through a horrific
injury (elbow dislocation) and has come back stronger, faster
and better.
About a month ago we got into a conversation with a lady in the
Honours Bar and she turned out to be Cadan’s mother. I told her
then he was my favourite player and I just wanted to say again,
as she mentioned she lurks in this forum, that he is my
favourite player.
What’s more we brought our friend and his young autistic son to
their first ever Quins game today and Cadan gave the young lad a
fist pump on the walk over which delighted him. Then when Cadan
scored two tries he couldn’t believe he had fist pumped a player
who scored twice! He’s one very happy young lad and a brand new
Quins fan for life.

Cadan has an excellent all round, and his reading of the game
gives him an edge. I don't see him troubling England honours as
long as EJ is around. Rightly or wrongly, EJ looks for " X
factor" and believes he can coach the rest. As good as Cadan is,
he isn't a physical freak.

Murley is such a good player. I doubt he will make the England
squad, but I would be totally confident in his ability to step
up if he did get a call-up.
He never gets much recognition, but there are very few I’d swap
him for.

Murley is a new Tom Williams, never good enough for the
international stage but a solid operator out of it

I get what you mean, but ‘solid’ feels like it’s selling him
(and Tom Williams) very short.

He’s quietly very very very good. A first choice Premiership
Champion player.

One of my favourite all-time Quins players is George Lowe and,
even though Cadan plays in a different position, he reminds of
him- a top-class and intelligent player who rarely, if ever, has
a bad game.

He is excellent and has certainly been our player of the season
so far. He has definitely added so much more power and quality
defence to his game, as well as some terrific decision making in
attack.
A lovely bloke off the pitch too.
Cadan is a good example of what Quins are all about, in terms of
his commitment, skill and friendliness.

I believe Cadan could take the next step and do a job at top
flight level.
Interestingly Quins see him as their best defensive winger and
often game plan for him to nullify opponents most dangerous
winger.

I didn’t realise he played both wings to be honest.
