Strangely, I was more worried when 4 pts ahead than when 14 pts
       behind..

Same here. We’ve shown on many occasions we’re very good at
mounting a comeback if we go a couple of scores down. We’re less
       good at protecting narrow leads.

is everywhere and is exactly what we want as a 6. Smart player,
not just a thumper who is great with his hands in attack and
rock solid in defence. He does so much it allows us to play Wev
or Reincarnated Robshaw at 7 to raise hell over the ball. I'd
have him in any quins side i've watched in the past few years in
       a heartbeat.

Lawday has really stepped up over the last few months and has
put together a string of excellent performances. The work rate
has always been there, but his link play in the loose seems to
have gone up a couple of notches and has stood out of late.
Great to have him and Chisholm battling it out at blindside. I
think there are games where we'll want Chis's extra power at 6,
but great to have so many options.

One good thing about Lawday is that he's pretty credible across
the back row. All players fit and firing, we've got depth in all
three positions and even some arguments over who the starters at
6 and 7 should be (I don't think there's any doubt that Dommers
       is the best 8)

Lawday: and only the other week there were (strange) folk on
       here saying bin him...

Symons makes a big difference to the forward pack. Adds nous and
a steely edge. His fisticuffs that saw the reversed penalty
could've been more costly had the TMO felt the need to intervene
despite the fact none of it would've happened had the
Ratuniyarawa not felt the need to give Kenningham a random
       shove.

My main complaint with Lawday was that he was game, but seemed
to lack a bit of power. Thinking back to the Bristol game,
Chisholm coming on turned it for me, that was when I thought the
win was on the cards as we started to get real go forward from
him. Saying that, past few weeks I think he has been excellent.
Still like to see more of Tualani as well

It was a really great spectacle. The whole day was fun and the
rugby was excellent. HQ is my second favourite venue, after the
       Stoop of course!
The opening of the event (1.30) was quite close to the women's
game meaning we weren't able to enjoy much of the outside fun.
Although, that was largely down to me needing to return my bag
to the car in the Rosebine because it was bigger than A4! I must
have missed that on the info sent beforehand but the lady with
the loudspeaker was making it very clear! As she said to one
woman (via her loudspeaker and from less than 1 metre away):
"Madam, there is no point ignoring me, you will not be allowed in
with that bag. Those are not my rules, they are Twickenham's
rules but I will enforce them!" The recipient was trying to find
       her purse, I think!
The women played well, their defence was excellent against a
Wasps team that is improving. The tries scored were excellent.
Breach, Kildunne and Cowell are real box office players, and
Jade Konkel is outstanding. Vicki Cornborough was deserved PotM.
Pete Tong was good fun and the remix of The Mighty Quinn was
great and got everyone up for it, well, even more up for it! The
light show was really great and the atmosphere was cracking! We
       were enjoying it all.
The Men's game was also really good. Two attacking teams who
went for it. I thought our ability to win big collisions was
terrific; André, Dommers and Marler were carrying hard but so
too Kenners, Lawday and Lewies. Matt Symons is so important and
a real unsung hero. His aggression (legal and otherwise) gives
the team an extra edge. He also never takes a backward step. I
       hope he doesn't retire!
Danny Care was excellent. I know people might question him, at
times, but I think he has been consistently good for a couple of
years. He may make mistakes but I think it is because he plays
on the edge and backs himself and his team mates to do something
special. It comes off quite a lot, to be fair to him! Again, I
hope he stays for another year or two!
Tyrone Green is tremendous and so brave. He sidesteps brick
walls and then smashes into them but just keeps going! Will
Edwards was really terrific too. His hands are really deft and
his set up play was great. I can imagine he adds a lot in
training with his instinctive skill and ideas.
Wayne Barnes also did well. He let the game flow as much as
possible. This was sometimes to our detriment as he allowed play
on when we had munched them in the scrum! Our front row is
really excellent. Dallaglio and Kay mention the quality of our
scrum on the telly but it still seems to be a surprise to
       people!
Anyway, great tries and an excellent result. The Mexican wave
isn't for me but I understand its place in an event like that. I
prefer the singing and chanting! Up to third and, if Leicester
       have been naughty, maybe second!
Well done to everyone at Quins. A great day out!
