Edwards is being given a role where he's not playing ten for the
vast majority of the game. We played off Danny a huge amount and
had forwards distributing at 10 most of the time. It's a
sensible tactic but it doesn't mean he's a good option at 10 -
it means we're covering for him very well. He's not the guy
moving the team around or making tactical kicks.
And that's fine if it works! It's no substitute for a proper
ten, though.

I'm currently sat in the Sheesh Mahal on Twickenham High Street
wondering what miracles Andre must've performed (that weren't
immediately obvious to my dodgy eyesight) to take man of the
match ahead of Dombrandt on a hatrick?

Not really, he still had to be running the lines and collecting
the ball cleanly, and a sidestep for the third.

All his tries were opposed, weren't they? He had to smash
through at least a defender to make the try?

Thought Edwards did well, he was up against the Lions starting
10 in what was by a distance the biggest game of his life. The
pass for Murleys first try was excellent and between him and
Marchant they win us the critical penalty that put us 7 points
ahead.
Esterhuizen was brilliant, took the ball forward and gave us
momentum all game, also put in some monstrous tackles.
Greene had his best game for a while too - interesting that
despite having Biggar at 10 he wasn’t out under pressure under
the high ball once.

Green ran into brick walls a few times when the better option
would've been a less direct route or a chip ahead into acres of
space, kicked one dead and gave away a silly penalty I think.
He's not quite back to where he was, but he's defending like a
lion and is so dangerous joining the line on attack. His kick
returns are full throated but usually into a defender at the
moment!
