Salary Breach

According to TRP a top six club is being investigated for salary
breaches. (Sorry no idea how to do link) I do hope it’s not us
but wonder who it could be? The only team I’d suspect are not
too six this season.

Cant see it being us. I know who my money would be on if I had
to pick (and they seem to be losing a few big earners
currently).

It’s not that difficult to scout out who it is, but PRL would
have to be brave to go after their scalp. After the multiple
second chances, warnings and confidential reports allowed to
certain previous offenders I could see any serious punishment
resulting in that club’s lawyers putting on the war paint. Most
likely there will be another sealed investigation, a modest
financial penalty and everyone will smoke the peace pipe again.

It could just be sensationalist headlines about a minor breach.
We went over by £12,000 roughly and paid the fines. No biggy.
Not exactly Salarycens level.

I’d be surprised if it is us. Laurie said that one of the
drawbacks of winning the Prem is that we had to open our books
to additional scrutiny to make sure we hadn’t broken salary cap
rules.

Most salary breaches are minor admin errors, often to do with
things like currency conversion etc.
Twitter is claiming is Exeter, but take it with a pinch of salt
given how often Saracens fans like to stir on there
