Thought he had an excellent game today. Some of his kicking was
sublime. Really hope this isn't his last season.

It's ironic that he's now a far better kicking 9 than youngs

The Telegraphs report on yesterday’s game has a quote from Tabi,
along the lines of - he’s playing well and although probably not
half a decade but he still has a number of years left in him.
So perhaps this isn’t his last year with us...?

An article in the Mail today quotes DC as saying it is very
close to a new contract being agreed.

here is the article:

As much as i dislike the DM, Chris Foy is normally fairly
accurate with his reporting.

So maybe once that new deal is signed, this post can close. Yes
I see the irony as I started it in the first place but good news
that he stays. The 8,9,10,12 system is going ridiculously well,
I just hope there is a follow up plan for a successor to Care as
well.

Ideally I'd like DC to stay another year but understand that it
may not be possible given the cap situation. While we always
need to get recruitment 'right', I do feel that this is a
particularly pivotal piece of business.

Danny staying another season to me is a no brainer. He is still
performing very well, and has come back well after a poor run.
We will be able to nurture Gjaltema further to see if he is
capable of stepping up when DC does go. Steele is a good off the
bench option but to me has been poor when he has started, so I
would certainly look to step up Gjaltema's development under the
best tutor possible. If it dosen't work out, at least at the end
of next season we will know where we need to invest in.
Care doesn't fall into the category of old players who probably
are past their best so there's no need to move him on. Money
obviously being an issue, but whilst theres no real loyalty in
any sport these days I can imagine as DC is loving his time
here, if possible he would maybe try and make something work.
