Presumably you're going to stick the printed ticket under a
scanner.
If you've taken a picture of the .pdf it might work just as well
- but what if it doesn't?
It's not exactly the most onerous thing in the world to bring a
paper ticket as backup - irritating maybe.

I was more just hoping to use the pdf bar code in the scanner as
one would at Murrayfield, Twickenham with the app or any other
21st century stadium.
Twickenham is normally paper free so it's odd that they are
forcing us to use paper for this game

The thing is there are people like me who do not own a printer,
I appreciate if you really want to there are ways to get it
printed but why not send a pdf that can be saved into an phones
wallet function.
I have used my phone at the Stoop previously when I’ve bought
extra tickets.

I am in the same boat. I don't really need a printer as I have
access to a printer at the office for the half dozen times a
year that I need one
But, in the past, I popped into Tesco and used their quick print
desk.
But, maybe worth calling the Twickenham ticket office to find
out if the scanners read phones

So Cardiff v Quins will likley be behind closed doors. As for
the Big Game I can imagine an announcement from Boris in a few
days which means the Big Game will also be closed doors, but who
knows?

The scanners on the gates at Twickenham can certainly read 2D
barcodes on a phone, as that's how they did tickets for the
final.
