Hats off to the Cardiff coaches, etc, for the huge effort from
Cardiff for putting a team together.

Not to labour the point, but its a really, really weird looking
team.
Seven of the starting team would probably be first choice. But
then the other eight and the bench are all players you'd never
consider likely to be involved.
Some are kids who have some talent and would get there
eventually, if not quite yet. Others.... I mean, the academy's
skills coach is starting at 10.
It should be a fun game. Cardiff will run absolutely everything
and I imagine Quins will do the same.
Score will be something like 54 points to 24 (to Quins).

On a slightly more serious note, surely we are jolly pleased to
see the return of Joe Marchant, Symmo and Northmore to the
matchday squad after injury. They need a good hit out to get up
to speed for BG13.

Yes, it makes sense to give Marler a rest and give Marchant a
run.
Huw Jones deserves to have another run out and a chance to give
the selectors a headache for the forthcoming league games. It
also gives SGB and Kerrod a chance to get back in the swing with
the first team, which is good in the long term. I know SGB
doesn't get much love but he can be really good and has played
well in most of his games this season. He is certainly more
reliable this season.
Hopefully the game goes to plan and we are several points up
with 20 or so to go, allowing the young front row (plus the rest
of the bench) a chance for a run. With 3 big league games coming
up, everyone needs to be ready.

SGB’s definitely been better, but I don’t know if he’s ever been
‘really good’ …

Forgot to mention, good that Collier and Chisholm get a rest
too. Both have had struggles with injuries over the years, so it
is good to see them given a bit of time off, when possible.
Collier is in with a shout for our player of the season (so
far!)
