Collier is the missing ingeredient in Englands Bomb Squad

The article says that Collier, has in Wilco Louw's absence, been
the form tight head in the league this season. It highlights
Collier destroying Genge in the recent game against the Tigers.
Id love to see him get selected for England as we need strength
at tight head and a different type of player to Sinklair.
However, we would be impacted largely. Time for the game to
really sort out the Club vs Country issue.

I've always been a big fan of Collier. I remember a scum on the
Argentina tour during the last-but-one Lions where he held the
scrum rock steady for about 30 seconds against an Argentinian
pack that was at the top of its game.
It's clear with hindsight that he's been struggling with
something for most of the intervening years, but this season
he's clearly fit again and has been good enough that we've not
grumbled much about not having Louw around. I suspect that he
potentially lacks some of the dynamism that Eddie wants - but
given our relative lack of good EQP tightheads he could be in
with a shout.

Agree with a lot you say. The article says that Jones would not
mind Collier lack of dynamism, ball in hand, as with the like's
of Genge, Vunipola, George & LCD, we have enough dynamic
players. The author say Maler is our only Elite scrummager. He
thinks Collier could be the option at TH.

We have always been told technically brilliant and now we know
he can score tries as well, but would be a huge loss during 6
nations.

I didn't initially read the article because of the Telegraph's
paywall, but it seems to be refreshingly free of the curse. Good
article - though not sure how much of it is informed by Eddie -
he's quoted from 2017 but that's a long time ago.
The stat that he's only been penalised once in 18 games is
pretty remarkable - we could definitely have done with that
against the Boks!

his dummy throw and try recently :-)

I’d love to see him get an England call up

There were quite a few (well, lots, actually) on this board
saying Collier wasn't worth his place a few years ago - and last
season: just shows what a run of games can do to your confidence
and consistency...

My view was a bit different, not that he wasnt worth his place,
more a case of we had Louw and Kerrod playing very well. Baxter
(at the time a TH) coming through as very highly rated and then
Trenier as a 3rd/4th choice option. My thinking was would a)
Collier be content as back up behind Louw at least and b) could
Quins afford to have a quality TH as potential 3rd choice (In
terms of cap space).

Perhaps one of them can do a transition to TH - Andrew Porter,
the Irish lad, did this (I think) to great effect!
