As we’ve seen with Big Chis in the past, concussion issues
aren’t easy to put a time frame on recovery.
I’m actually quite relaxed about it though. I’d have expected
Marcus to be starting while he’s available anyway and that
potentially gives Allan another 6wks or so to get right before
the 6 Nations.
From our POV, Allan not playing also limits the likelihood of
him getting an Italy recall which also helps.

It wasnt the concussion, it was his shoulder. He came back from
the head knocks, but then left the field with his arm in a
makeshift sling

Have we had any report of what the actual injury is? Shoulder
injuries often take longer to heal due to the strains on the
joint so six weeks might not be enough.

It looked like a dislocation, but there are various degrees of
severity and it may not have been, but he was down for some
time...

Could also have been a broken collar bone the way it was being
supported, it is the lack of clarity/information that is
disconcerting; normally some sort of 'rumour' has emerged by
now. I can't ask questions this weekend as having to isolate
until Monday.
