Also thought we made an error taking the points early on.
Thought murley and lynagh were superb, that was a world class
finish, especially taking nadolo out of the game.
Smith making uncharacteristic errors, hopefully hell be back in
the swing of things for Europe.

I agree. Much has been made of playing the 'Quins way' so I wish
they'd stick with it. There are certainly some occasions when it
would make sense to kick for 3 points but neither of those two
were it.

I thought it was the right decision simply because Tigers
lineout is better than ours and it guaranteed punishing tigers
for mistakes and poor discipline. In hindsight, we could easily
have really fired them up if we'd butchered more close range
lineouts that early.

Not using Lawday made the 6:2 split seem even more odd.

Positive for me is that we are not playing very well at the
moment, but are in good positions in each game. They key is top
4 and hitting form in the back end of the season.
Defensive efforts improving and 9 bonus points from 9!

Chis seemed to have a quiet game, too, so I'm surprised we
didn't get an earlier sub.

Well we were a bit rusty and our returning players need to bed
in again, but happy with the result, good luck with your Euro
games.

I think the LBP was a pretty good result to be honest. I dont
get the vitriol for Walker. Or actually maybe I do, when people
gave Scott Baldwin such grief on here the first year he played
for us, and then last season turned into a total Scott love-in.
Jerry will sort out any problems he has , I have no doubt.
People should have more faith in a bloke who masterminded the
best lineout in global club rugby. I thought that the pack as
a whole was great. Two scrum pens against the much vaunted
Leicester eight, and a load of hard carrying.
No sign of Quintron and his 50 point stuffing then? *
*Mods: Please note this is an empirical observation and not a
personal attack. As Popperian falsifiability is the basis for
most modern science, I would hope that it would not be
undermined , anti-vax stylee, by having my post deleted.
😀

I thought our defence was outstanding today. We looked really
impressive defending their mauls and their more limited open
play attack. Our scrum was excellent and I think we deserved a
few more pens. Collier was really great against his more
celebrated opposite man, Genge.
The lineouts were wobbly, which is a real shame. I think Jack
Walker has settled in well, generally, and will grow into a fine
player once it all clicks. Green was tireless and brave, André
is real leader and Marler is out of this world.
The most important bit is that we are butchering chances at the
moment. A handful last week and a couple here today. Tempest
getting in the way of Dommers changed the game. An early try
from us might have opened it all up. As it was, we stayed in the
fight, again.
Europe gives us a chance to try something different with maybe
less pressure, or at least a different kind. This is a team with
great quality. Come on you Quins!

Aside from the line out that was a decent performance
