It shows the importance of having a functioning line out. We
didn’t have the platform to set up our back line and gave
possession and territory back to them, can we get Baldwin back??

What was that last lineout throw about? Walker and Jones have a
lot to answer. Walker less so, but surely we should trust our
subs, perhaps a freshmen hooker would have hit his man.
Oh well, Bonus point gained and gave the top team in the league,
some things to think about.
Onwards we match to the European cup.

It took a year for Baldwin to get up to speed. Year one Walker
is better than year one Baldwin, but not yet better than final
year Baldwin.

Walker has been pretty inconsistent so far. Good in the loose,
but lineout can be dodgy and gives away silly pens. Not much
competition though with gray and riley injured.
Lynagh and murley both very good. Smith was quite quiet. Pack
were pretty good. Green very good. Esther and Jones pretty
ineffective bar some good defence from Esther. Better game from
care

Tempest in the way for Dombrandt going over, Huw Jones not
passing, not kicking the ball off the pitch to get Marcus back
on before they scored. Frustrating to then lose by 2

Dumb penalties hurt us, not having a working lineout hurt us,
some really poor decision making hurt us (not just Huw Jones -
Esterhuizen not finding touch before Tigers scored when Marcus
would've come back on was a very silly error). Can't fault the
effort and there were some excellent individual displays but
we're not quite the sum of our parts at the moment. I don't
agree that Care was better, really - I thought he was pretty
poor again, and not having Steele available hurt us, just like
not having Marchant or Northmore or Symons or Riley or Gray.
Green's put in a couple of "eh" performances in a row, too, but
that's probably the best combo of tactical kicker + ball chaser
he'll face in his career (Ford and Steward), more worried about
his propensity to run into trouble at the moment.
Tempest was pretty good!

Two weeks in a row where we've just not found our cutting edge
nearly enough.
Can fault the effort or commitment, but execution lacking at key
moments.
Huw Jones.... that pass had to go!
