Seems am odd thing to say, you have a 10 who was picked at that
age and we have a 15 playing for England at that age.

I think you are referring to the post by the Quins strength
coach Ed Lea

I’m not sure this suggests that he’s injured though.

Smith was 20 2 years ago. He's been first choice 10 pretty much
since he was 17
Steward and Quirke are both 20
So's Rees-Zammit
The Curry twins are 23. In 2018, Tom was already getting pretty
established for England.
I'd reckon all of these would have expected to be selected at 20

Poor old Lynagh, finding out he's too old and being dropped for
Beard. Now if it was the 22 year old Murley, that's another
matter...

Well we are sheltered from some of the loonies that post on your
board. I notice many of the longstanding posters no longer
appear which probably tells a story.

Marcus Smith from 2019 and Joe Marler from 2010 are on the line
and would like to disagree...

Regardless of Beard's age. he's very inexperienced and can't
really have any complaints if someone like Lynagh comes back in
ahead of him. He could arguable have complaints if Morris did,
but Lynagh was in possession of the shirt and has done nothing
wrong. I'm not sure Beard would consider that he'd been dropped,
especially not for a poor performance, rather that the man
previously in possession is now back available. All beard has to
do is make the decision as hard one for Matson.
I'm not sure that calls for CSW's inclusion are justified after
one appearance on the cup. Tizard offers plenty of bulk too, as
does Lamb

All very true, but Smith was (originally) brought in because of
necessity as the other FHs were broken and why would you keep
one of the leagues most potent wingers out of the starting line
up (if fit) at the expense of someone with 1 Premiership start,
against the league leaders? It's not age, but experience...
