Perhaps you're noticing it more as we score so many tries?
It's going to be very hard to stop this - stand up too!

Not bothered by people standing when we score
But the constant standing or getting late to seats is getting
worse
Good part of play on Saturday and a bloke in west stand just
stood there in the aisle when asked to sit down you’d think we’d
questioned his parentage

when we HAVE scored is totally different from when we get into
the 22, which appears to be the norm now.
Some people just appear that they aren’t considerate of others
anymore, and worryingly not only at rugby!!!

It's been the norm for bloody years. Certainly since the new
West stand was built. Possibly it's less of a problem in the
East where you're further away from the pitch.

Been in the new west stand since it opened and at least 15 years
previous in the old one! never had as consistent an issue with
people standing up since the return from lockdown........
But it is what it is, so unless there is a major change in
behaviour I suppose that I will have to watch the big screen
replays of the ‘events’ ,
Grumpy old so & so that I am, but I guess my problem is that
injuries, and getting older!, are/is catching up with me which
reduces my mobility so I can’t spring up and down with ease.

Funnily enough I was talking with Mrs SimQuin about this
earlier. As an ex-forward, like many, my knees are screwed so
sudden leaps are alas impossible now. So I quite often no longer
see the tries scored live thanks to this leaping.

Perhaps you could hire someone to leap on your behalf, a bit
like gestational surrogacy but with leaping instead. Just a
thought.

Jumping up when we score especially when it’s in front of you is
an involuntary reaction that 98% of people who sit near me have.
We also stand up early if someone is running in for a try. I can
only apologise to the very few who don’t or can’t get up
quickly. Imagine what the atmosphere would be like if we all
remained seated and applauded politely.

There were a fair number of frustrated Big Stoop attendees
piling into the Stoop last Saturday. This may have some bearing
on the behaviour.
