       Welcome to the board.
Little bit of trivia for you: "We should have enough to see that
lot off" and "we're gonna get mullered" are time-honoured
traditions for every match. Don't take it seriously!

Now the first quotation was rarely used at Irish but the second
       was quite often.

Have to agree with Championes above, Danny seems to be costing
us more than he's benefitting at the moment. Quite a few on
here, including me, we're berating England for not giving Smith
the ball, he was guilty of exactly the same first against
       Sarries and now oirish.
Our system is based on ball to the 10 and play from there, bar
the odd dart or cut out to confuse their defence but 75% to the
       10. Edwards would look more effective as that's how he is
       training.
It's difficult with Steele being injured but I'd drop him until
he gets his head around this. Yes, Edwards will make mistakes
and it might cost us tries at both ends but he will do more
right than wrong. And I know Gjaltema and Stafford are untried
but so was Randall this time last year and Quirke and Tigers
young scrum half as well and with Smith and Dombrandt back, they
       will have experience around them.
I saw an earlier comment about the first try. Come on, it was
poor kick that got a lucky bounce. Had it gone straight, it
       would have gone dead.

IIRC we had penalty advantage so I'd call it a speculative kick
to nothing and any bounce of a rugby ball is 'lucky', unlike the
round ball the bounce is unpredictable - hence where it goes is
lucky, sometimes good, sometimes bad. Hence the old adage of not
letting the ball bounce! So I would not blame DC too much for
       that one.

Yes, it was penalty advantage from what I can remember. Awkward
to deal with but finished nicely by Beard.

A222 - yeah my seat was near all that action. We were down near
their line for some time. I was thinking we would certainly
score during that episode but we didn't. Seemed like an
important moment to me. Afterwawrds, they scored after just a
minute or so of play in our 22. That was a pretty disappointing
       10 minutes..

This is Randall's 4th season as a regular!

I think Danny should and will start between Dommers and Marcus
on Sunday. That connection will stand us in good stead in what
will be our toughest game so far, possibly our toughest game all
       season.
I hope we have belief as we prepare for that game. There has
been a lot of good stuff this season and there is definitely
more to come. We know how good we can be. Sunday would be a
perfect time to get it right.

That's fine QP but everyone was only calling him as an England
starter following Bristol's good season, till the semi final and
even then, Uren was playing as much as Randall was.
Thanks for the Physics lesson re bounce of the ball, I had
noticed that it tends to act weirdly when it hits the ground!
And penalty advantage or not, it was still rubbish which he
followed up with an equally rubbish one shortly after.
Of course starting him with Smith & Dombrandt will be different
but he'll keep giving it to Smith and not trying to run
everything so will look better. God forbid Smith can't play for
a few weeks and he'll just revert back to Scrum/Fly half and
we'll be back to square one.
We've been so lucky with Smith that he doesn't really get
injured but sadly that won't last and we are going to have to
       trust Edwards more.

I agree about that kick. It was poorly executed, got a lucky
bounce, and relied on their winger making a pig's ear of it.
