We should have enough to see that lot off.

Suddenly very thin at scrum half with Steele injured

Actually doesn’t look too bad to me. Good to see Allan off the
list, along with Morris and CSW who came off the list a couple
of weeks back. So far (touches wood) we don’t look massively
exposed in any position - will be good if Steele is back for
Europe but we have Stafford and Gjaltema for a reason.

Bit light at 9 and shame that Marchant and Louw are injured.
Otherwise a decent team. Symons' non-selection is odd if fit.
Can't be 100%

Does anyone think the absolutely foul weather forecast to come
upon us will favour either team?
Maybe we'll find out who our truly tough guys are.
Do you fancy being stuck out on the wing trying to keep warm,
while the forwards are cuddling up in the scrums all afternoon?

I've always thought that our fast running game favours warm/dry
conditions, and a "shove it under your jumper and push" style is
better in the wet.

Suspect the back 3 of both sides will be kept busy enough

Kicks are going to be completely random looking at the wind
forecast -- get ready for some catches in the stands -- and
maybe across the 316

Regarding Symons, it could just be a case of needing to rotate
the locks a little to make sure they all stay fit, along with
maybe needing him at 100% next Sunday against Leicester, so
we're resting him this week. Much as we'd love to see our best
XV take the pitch every week, the players need rest & rotation
to keep them going through the season.

Mind you, you can say exactly the same of Irish. Depending on
how fit Marler actually is, I think I slightly favour our pack,
and Andre is a big advantage in the backs.

Well at least DC will have an excuse for his wayward box
kicking!!!
Beard is an absolute beast of a unit and will only get better
with game time. Shame about Lynagh, he was on a good roll.
Wilco frustrating as well, we could have done with him against
Tigers fully match fit.
It's always a bag of spanners against the Not Nots and the
weather won't help. Still, should be fun.
