What’s the deal with autumn int’l players - do they have to be
rested this week or next? If so my preference would to have
Marcus back for Tigers and take chances with Allan (if he’s fit)
or Edwards on Sat. I’d hope the others would be available for
both games, it’s not like they’ve been over-used.

Dombrandt is in Dubai from his IG. I’d be surprised if they put
the England players back in for Irish. Think they’ll be back for
Leicester & the Euro games. Marler might be the exception as he
didn’t train for 10 days (with the squad) so might not need the
rest

Eddie beasts the players by all accounts in training so a rest
might be needed, even when you consider the relatively limited
minutes Dombrandt, Marler & Marchant have had over the last
three weeks

As part of the EPS agreement, I’m pretty sure players have 1
mandatory rest week post AIs, but I believe that it can be taken
between now and the end of the year on the player/club’s
discretion.

We can’t underestimate Irish. They always get up for any fixture
against us and we need the strongest team we can muster. That
said there will obviously be an eye on Tigers and the European
matches.

Irish are a good side. A couple of their draws were unlucky. If
they had been wins they’d be 4th right now.
They’ve also not had any major disruption from the test window
so I think it could be our toughest game so far this season.
Their maul has become a real weapon and as we’re not great at
maul defence, it could be criminal.
We’ll need to play well.

We often save some of our worst performances for games against
Irish, regardless of how well or badly either side are playing.
