Would al the England boys be back for Irish next week?
Appreciate Marcus might need a rest, but surely the other 3
would be eligible to play?

Thinking about it more, hopefully that is the end of OF as a
starter. I thought May was fairly poor and I wouldn’t be against
this as my starting back line for 6 nations
9. Quirke
10 Smith
11 Malins
12 Tuilagi
13 Slade
14 Radwan
15 Steward
Obviously there’s a way to go and form will play a part, I
imagine the wings are the most likely to change from the above
as I imagine Nowell and Watson(?) would be in the mix, but
personally they would need to have blinders to get ahead.

Yesterday was the first day all 3 major South Hemisphere sides
were beaten on the same day since 9th November 2002:
England beat NZ
Ireland beat Australia
France beat South Africa
That's probably more something for those who like a stat, rather
than something to read too much into it. It's the end of a long
season for those sides. The Springboks have been in camp & away
from their families since around the start of the Lions tour.

No it's a good stat Jedzi as they are in this boat every autumn
(last year aside of course) so good to see that the NH can
dominate them. The Aussies are no great shakes really and God
knows what's happened to the All Blacks?
I think Johnny May's time has gone now. He's only ever been one
outstanding game followed by 3 average ones for England and with
Radwan, Malins, Lynagh et al, you can build for the future
better. Watson is still class but seems to be made of paper,
like Tuilagi. Time for England to move on and hope the next
batch are not so breakable.

Yes May played yesterday like he was in a Buster Keaton film,
lots of comedy trips, running sideways and backwards and
dropping the ball. All that was missing was for him trying to
carry a plank on his shoulder and knocking out Freddie Steward.

Had to laugh BBC article/podcast on Itoje saying that Marcus
room shared with him last week. All part of Eddie’s plan to keep
Marcus’ his feet on the ground.

As I've said before, much as he causes defences no end of
collywobbles when he plays, Tuilagi is injured too often. You
get a halndful of games out of him, then he's off for months to
recover from an injury. If you're lucky, he's fit for a RWC
campaign, but there needs to be serious planning on him not
being available for the Six Nations or for RWC2023.

I hope Itoje wasn't telling him about all the extras Mr Wray
provides for his players.

Some of the coverage of Smith is a bit ridiculous. I think it
was Mark Durden-Smith (who should know better) who said Smith
had been unearthed. And in the Sunday Times he’s described as
Boy Wonder. It’s like he’s about twelve and no one had heard of
him. When he’s played 100+ games for Quins already.
