       O/T George Ford

Reported in Times that George is going to Sale next year.
Although Tigers matched the offer he is going home. Tigers will
be gutted. He has a coffee shop in the Saddleworth area.

Tough break for Borthwick - interesting to see what they do.
Also, do you continue to give as much game time to Ford vs
giving experience to the next generation?

The next step in the Sheedy to Wales, McGinty to Brizzle trail.
Interesting to see what Tigers do. Would imagine that's a decent
chunk of cap being released - however the likes of Steward etc
will probably be needing pay rises soon!

Ford has consistently tended to leave clubs that have dispensed
with his dad's services - I guess this is no different. It will
be interesting to see what Tigers do to replace him.
They have got Burns, Socino, Hegarty and Lancaster listed as fly
half options in addition to Ford, so maybe they will promote
from within. While I can imagine they'd be very interested in
Smith or Allan I'd also be very surprised if either of them
wanted to make a move right now.

If they've matched the offer, it seems odd to leave the club who
are currently top of the premiership and look to be getting
better, to go to a club who look to be on a downturn

If I were Tigers, I’d be very interested in talking to Fin Smith
from Worcester or even Manu Vunipola from Sarries. . Seems the
perfect opportunity to bring in a young player with good
potential to accompany Burns and Hegarty.

Ironically our main issue has been AJ not playing. RdP is OK but
arguably not top 4 standard but he’s also been injured and we’ve
       mainly played kids recently.
Assuming Ford happens (and not as a swap for Tom Curry as was
rumoured last year), I’ll be a happy boy.
