Anything short of MS being allowed to dictate terms at 10 now
will be a travesty.

I wouldn’t rule out Eddie calling up Ford

Youngs will then start. Can't see Jones playing Quirke and Smith
together from the off against South Africa. Tuilagi back to 12,
Slade at 13. Wings will be tough to call.

Club is saying Joe Marler came out of purdah last Friday press
reporting this coming Friday. But our 4 all called up plus Glos
hooker Jack Singleton and Harry Elrington l/head.

Always sad to see ANY player injured, wish him a speedy
recovery.

Yes, speedy recovery to Faz and George. I think the latter will
really be missed this weekend given LCD’s absence from the
squad. Blamire’s darts are still a bit wayward.
Regardless of who would be at 10 this weekend, 1-9 will need to
be on their game more that they were last week to get decent
ball for the outside backs. A proper back row might help, if the
scrum is struggling having an 8 that can control the ball would
help.
I’d actually rather EJ called up Ford to the squad. Having a
proper 10 on the bench would decrease the likelihood of an
attempt to take Smith out.

I'd agree on the 8, also on Ford being in the squad as bench
cover (seems harsh on him though). Hooker is a bit of a worry.
Who else is there though?

It's going to be a 6-2 split on the bench, forward heavy. If he
starts Slade at 13 then he would step in to cover the cheap shot
on Smith. If he puts Malins on the wing and Marchant and Furbank
on the bench then you have cover across the backs. Still, this
is Eddie Jones so who knows. Recall for Banahan??? :-)

If it's a 6-2 split, who's the backup scrum half?
