We’re second in the Prem and have a good chance to progress in
Europe - why would we field a single player who plays for the
XV?
Rest them all, play lots of people I’ve never heard of and move
on…
Tizard, Lamb, Steele, Edwards - we need them rested and back for
Irish.
Northmore? No way should be be risked.
Sack off the cup - who cares.

I would play some of the first XV to maintain form or develop
match fitness, in preparation for the league and Europe.
We are all different; some players can take the rest and come
back ready to go, others need to keep playing. I was always in
the second camp!

Disagree. Edwards and Steele need game time. Either have hardly
played. Lamb I would rest, but not Tizard. We have Lewies and
Symons fit now, plus CSW (I expect him to feature in these
games). Agree about Northmore, although mayve a bench spot for
him in one of the games.
Its fine resting players, but you dont want them undercoooked
either. Lawday has benefited from a decent run, likewise Botta
Id go

I’d be tempted to put Northmore on the bench for the second game
but let the young boys have a crack this weekend. Pretty sure
Mak Wilson is injured so I’d go with Louw and Kerrod for 3 and
18. Also don’t think Ofori-Manteaw is still with us.

If Finn Baxter was fit,I would start him at Loose head and pair
him With Riley (We need to see what this kid can do, to put
pressure on the other hookers - I back him to make the first
team starting 2 his own this season).
Second row, Hammond and Tizard, make Tizard Captain, he looks
like he would love that.
We need to give time to David at 15. Hyde and Ayanoux at centre
and the young halfbacks.
They are not going to get a run in the first team, so need
games.

Is there any news on when Allan will be fit to play? If not I
don't know if I'd be risking Edwards as we would be in serious
bother if he picks up an injury.

It is not on BT. I think only Glaws v Barf is tomorrow night.
Maybe Sarries do an equivalent of our beloved DRoj on Quins Live
on YouTube? (I would not fancy watching that, though!!!)
