To be fair, they were on the pitch while the game was live
arguing with Simpson in an attempt to get him off the pitch.

He was clearly injured but trying to battle through it. The
medical team should have called for the player to be subbed,
which it looked like they did but Bath didn't officially sub him
for some reason, he can't refuse once he's been subbed. Decision
should have been made for him, end of.

Exactly this. Some people on here very quick to knock the
medics and, I suspect, with absolutely no basis to evaluate
their competence at all.

Danny Care thought the medics should have taken him off and he
saw the whole thing. You don’t need to be a medical expert to
see he was badly injured and shouldn’t have been allowed to
continue. Mistakes happen, but you’ve got to hold your hand up
when it goes wrong

I didn’t think you could bring a sub on and then take them off
again. Once they are signed on that’s it surely.

As soon as he did it everyone around me winced and said eek. It
was clear he’d done something nasty. I think pretty much
everyone thought ‘that’s a year out’ because we were all
staggered when he was taped up and did a scrum.
