I do have a feeling that when he plays, Chisholm does actually
produce more turnovers than people might think... Can a statto
either prove me right or wrong on that?

Team looks ok to me but I had the same concern about the bench

And should have had at lease one more against sale at the end
but for a pretty baffling decision going against him
I didn't realise Simpson was at bath. Boyce and De Carpentier on
the bench, and we have Walker back to face his old team

A good team. I hope we don't miss Kenners too much. His
incredible energy and skill in the breakdown is invaluable. Will
Evans was outstanding and we were lucky that Kenners was able to
step in and there was no drop off at all! That said, Lawday,
Dommers and Chis are really good operators. I hope they can work
together effectively.
I think the bench has a lot of quality. Northmore is really
good, especially off the bench (which will frustrate him, I am
sure!) Steele is a quality substitute for DC. Wallace and Jones
will be very keen to show what they can do. Tizard has been
involved in a number of games and does a good job. Riley is
exciting, and Kerrod is a very decent starting or back up prop.
Garcia Botta is perhpas the one that people might be concerned
about. On his day he is a solid and reliable scrummager, it is
just that he can be off his game and give away scrum pens or
silly pens around the park. Be sensible Santi!!!

I would like to see Kenners play, but if he needs a rest that's
fair enough. I would have been tempted to give Huw Jones a start
given he is off with Scotland soon and rest Andre, but he's such
an important player it's impossible to leave him out. Also would
like to see Allan on the bench as fly half cover but hopefully
Smith won't get injured!

Thinking it through, it just shows how resilient Marcus Smith
is. I can't remember the last time we had a 10 that played
consistently and was available week in, week out since Nev in
2011/12.
As mentioned, back row is a worry from a balance perspective but
the sheer physicality is pretty good. We can always rely on
Cadan, Tyrone & Andre for turnovers anyway. Plus we've got two
try machines on the pitch in Louis and Collier!

Pleased Collier is starting. I think he's a stronger scrummager
than Kerrod, which will be important against Bath.
Don't see why they've gone for Lawday over Wallace at 7. Would
be interesting to understand the coaches rationale. Just lack of
game time for Wallace maybe?

Clearouts.
I think the coaching line of thought is that we don't need to
focus on turnovers against Bath (and where we do, the evidence
is that Dombrandt can get them) but on clearing out at our own
breakdowns so we don't lose the ball. Chis and Lawday bring a
level of heft that is probably better for that than Wallace's
breakdown nous, especially against a chunky Bath pack.
