What's happening Nick David

What is the situation with Nick David? In the latest matchday
squad communication he is not listed as playing, unavailable or
injured. What or where is he then?

Needs to earn his spot. Murley, Green, Marchant (the winger),
Lynagh. Those are the men with the shirts. He needs to take it
from them. His time will come but for me, that's how it should
be.

Not selected. I imagine he's not fully up to speed with the
attack patterns yet, and with Murley, Lynagh and Green all
available he's not going to walk into the squad.
It's worth thinking about the parallel with Green last season -
he was in the squad for quite a long time before being selected,
but when he was he had an immediate impact, even to the extent
of replacing Mike Brown with nary a word of complaint from all
but the most complain-about-everything fans.

Yeah - David has been bought in on his potential. As he's
coming from a genuinely poor team to one that is a champion team
he'll take a while to get up to speed not only in terms of the
plays , but also the right level of conditioning, nutrition
etc. I personally wouldn't be surprised if you didn't see him
before the Prem cup games.

It's completely normal for a player to change teams and have to
spend a while getting up to speed, especially when it's a team
like Quins whose gameplan relies on understanding between
teammates. As I recall, David was getting game time but at wing
rather than full back, and I presume was brought in as a
replacement for Brown. Unfortunately for him, Brown's red card
led to Green grabbing hold of the shirt so it might be a
struggle to get it back - but by the same token it means that we
have a lot of very good back three options, several of whom can
play fullback.

He's going to have to train exceptionally well and/or wait for
an injury. I'm happy for the current mob to continue but will
also be quite excited when he gets his chance.

Green had a stinker today by his standards! Couldn’t catch a
cold under pressure.
